On 26 June 2017 the Colombian Government and the FARC-EP guerrilla completed the third phase in the process of the laying down of arms. According to the UN Mission in Colombia, they have registered the handing over of 7,132 of individual arms. The only ones that now remain in the 26 camps are those that will be used to provide security until 1 August 2017.

The fourth phase of the project is the neutralization of the arms in order to prevetn them from being used again. them and any explosives and unstable material will be taken outside of the camps and destroyed. In the fifth final phase of the process three
monuments will be constructed with the arms.
