ABColombia, in a joint statement with 17 other International Civil Society Organisations, has expressed its profound rejection of, and concern for, the murder of Gerson Acosta and threats against other members of the Northern Cauca Association of Indigenous Councils (ACIN). The statement urges the Colombian government and relevant authorities to take immediate measures to stop killings and attacks against human rights defenders, social leaders, peasant farmers (campesinos), Indigenous and Afro-descendant communities.
